Game Connector - Commands

What commands can I use in Game Connector?

Type a single / for a short summary of chat commands. Below are all commands explained in details.

/afk message
AFK (Away From Keyboard) is generally automatically activated when you're not using Game Connector for a few minutes or when you minimize it. To manually set your AFK status, type /afk where message is any message you would like show in the Tooltip on your name. You AFK status will be removed when you chat, move or type /unafk.
Example: /afk on the phone

/alias command message
This will 'bind' a custom command to any message or existing command. You must specify a name in command and anything to bind to it inmessage. If you dont specify message, the command will be unbound. If you dont specify anything at all, a complete list of all aliasses will be shown.

You can use parameters in message where %0 is the complete text that was typed after the command and %1 to %9 are replaced with seperate words that were typed after the command.
Example: /alias lookup /seen %0
This will make the command 'lookup' and makes it work exactly as /seen

/ban username
Bans someone from the current room. The name specified in username must be exactly the name as it exists (not case-sensitive). Banned users are not able to get back into the room until the ban is removed. If you do not specify username, a summary of all banned users is shown. You must be moderator or have PRIV_KICK privilege to use this command.

/banlist
Displays a summary of all banned users from the current room. See help on /ban, /clearban and /unban for more details. You must be moderator or have PRIV_KICK privilege to use this command.

/getwad filename, filename, ...
This will download the specified files using GetWAD. These will be downloaded (and unzipped if needed) to a location that you can configure in Custom Files locations in the Support menu. You can download multiple WAD files at once by seperating their names with a comma. File extension is not required.

/join roomkey password
Enters the room specified in roomkey. This is the same as doubclicking a room or selecting a room and clicking the Enter Room button. Note that roomkey is NOT the Room Title, but a special key to refer to the room. Rooms created by normal users always get a random key assigned by the server. The main Lobby always has the key "main". The password is not required, unless the room is locked with a password.

This will whisper a message to the user specified in username. Others in the room will not hear what you're saying, except only that user ofcourse. Note that you must seperate your message from the username with a comma, because usernames are allowed to have spaces in them. This is the same as checking your "Whisper" checkbox and selecting a user to chat to.

/part

/seen username, username, ...
This will ask the server how long ago he last saw someone (specified in username) online. If the user is currently online, it shows for how long the user is online already and for how long he/she is AFK (if at all). This powerfull command also knows the last few names the user was using and will also show these. If you type a name which doesnt exist because the user renamed, it will show information about the correct name, and show its old names too. You can lookup more users at once by seperating their names with a comma.

/sound wavefile
Plays the requested sound specified in wavefile for all people at your current loction, unless they disabled this feature in their configuration. The wavefile must be a standard WAVE file (.wav extension) and must be location in the "Sounds" subdirectory from your Game Connector directory.
